There was a little girl...

who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead

and when she was good, she was very, very good

but when she was bad, she was horrid!

We have a big Mother Goose book that we read all of the time, and this particular rhyme has become one of Piper's favorites. When we pull the book out..she starts flipping through looking for the "curl one"..we read it, and afterwards, she glances up at me, with this little grin..and says.. "Dat me. I got curl in my head..I good too..I not horrid" I always tell her.."yes very, very good.....most of the time" ;)

BTW, if you all could..let me know what you are seeing as far as color goes..the color here looks pretty good on my screen..but I just looked at it on the girls laptop..and YIKES...not good..especially that first one...may be time to calibrate..

And..for all of you who asked..my next post will give you the scoop on how to make your pictures bigger :)

How stinkin' cute is she? The color looks great to me (but Amanda told me that I need to calibrate mine - it's been a long, long time). Can't wait for your next post!

Oh my goodness! These pictures are wonderful! She is so adorable, and that's one of my favorite nursery rhymes, although everyone in my family has straight hair. The color is PERFECT on my monitor. I just want to scoop her up!

Oh and I wanted to tell you the color looks good on my end. That happens to me when I post something and then look at it on my husbands laptop. Yikes!

Thanks guys for all of your comments!!

Tracey..My camera bag..I shoot with the 5D..I have the 24-70L, the 70-200L IS, 85 1.2L, and the 35 1.4L

I would have to say my favorite is the 85..but it does have a bit of a learning curve..well for me anyway. I find a lot of time I get one eye slightly oof..the reason being..I always try to shoot at 2.0 or wider..and I'm always trying to get right up in their face..I know better, but I just keep doing it..but when I do step back a bit..and nail it..it's razor sharp..almost too sharp at times..like this first picture of Piper..I sharpened for web a bit..but that's it..and IMO..her eyes are almost too sharp, I do find it is a bit slow to focus..which causes a problem with the little ones..but overall..it's a dream..my favorite by far..

Love both the 24-70..and 70-200..I use the 24-70 a lot indoors..when I find I don't have enough room for the 85..and the 70-200 is perfection outdoors and for the girls cheer events.

The 35..well..I NEVER use it..I am thinking of geting rid of it..and trading it in for another...my mouth is watering for the 135L..still debating that one though..

Hey Megan!

First off the colour looks great to me, although I'm on my laptop too! But usually it's somewhat accurate.

Secondly, you have the most beautiful children *ever*. Seriously, they're gorgeous! And you capture them so so well. The last few posts are amazing, no matter whether they're cooperating or not! I'm completely in awe of your clarity too, it's always perfect. I missed checking in here, I'll do my best to be back more often!

Hope you and the fam are doing well :)

Tiffany..thanks for your comments..I wish I had a better answer for you in reference to the lighting and catchlights..but honestly..I really don't know..I did happen to have on a white t-shirt that day..maybe that was it..when I know I'm going to shoot..I always put on a white shirt..

And for all of you eagerly wating for the bigger picture post..it's coming in the morning! It's going to take me awhile to gather and make sense of it all..I don't have the energy right now..I have a terrible sinus infection and headache..I'm going to bed. So check back tomorrow afternoon..and it should be up.

Okay, seriously!!! I love your pictures...and can't wait to learn how to make the pictures bigger. Any tips on how in the world to make the eyes sparkle too? Do you do it on adobe or are you naturally talented at that with your camera too :)
