tunes, sayler and...free stuff

Taking a much needed break, I'm in the middle of a project that has me quite frustrated..almost to the point of tears..so, breaking for a bit...thought I'd put my two most favorite songs out there for ya...not sure how "new" they are..but they are new to me..and I love both of them.

"Come on Get Higher" by Matt Nathanson

"Madly" by Tristan Prettyman

">

I'm always on the lookout for good music..so leave me a comment and tell me your most favorite song of the moment..speaking of comments..you guys are lazing out on me..getting pretty whimpy...I may just cut you all off...(laughing) Just kidding..or am I? Bwaaahahaha...

Let's see..leave me a comment..by Wednesday, midnight my time. I'll have my little Pip pick a name and I'll send the lucky gal..or guy (maybe?) a tube of my most favorite, love it so much, always have it on lipgloss...

and just for kicks...I'll throw in a pack of those super yummy mints mentioned in my last post..

And I guess being that this is a photo blog..gotta post a picture..just Miss Thang..looking ever so "thang-ish"

And don't forget...give me some tunes to check out...And, if you have any EASY rainy day activities..let me have it..my kiddos will be home from school the next two days..it was cancelled 'cause a hurricane's a-comin'....yuck!

I just started following your blog, and I love your photography!

My new music is Jack Johnson's song, "Breakdown". It's so happy and fun--you should definitely listen!

I've been wanting to try those mints since you mentioned them, and the lipgloss looks great, too!

My most favorite song of the moment is a cover....India Arie covers "The Heart of the Matter" in the new Sex & the City movie. Uh-mazing. Alexa Wilkinson is also a new fave.

You have beautiful kids and those are lovely pictures.

Since you asked :) the tune buzzing in my head is my toddlers current favorite;
"Look at My Belly"
By: Brady Rymer

the irony is i'm still trying to loose my baby pooch :)

I am in love with the New Blake Shelton "HOME" with Miranda Lambert.. It really just makes you want to cuddle with the hubby on the couch..b/c nothing means anything more than that. Plus, my hubby is on the road all the time, so it is special when you can play that song and know that he is coming "home".

I have blog stalked you for quite a while now, but this is my first comment! My FAVORITE song right now is "In My Arms" by Plumb...a mother singing to her little one. I ALSO LOVE LOVE LOVE Regina Spektor! Some of her songs are a little strange, but my favorites are:
Samson, Fidelity, and Better. Also, a great "photography" song is "Ordinary Miracle" by Sarah McLachlan!

Let's see...a good song...I'm really loving "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz. It's just laid-back and nice. :)
I've got your blog on my google reader, so I see all of your updates but I don't offen hop over here to comment...SORRY! :) Comments are fun!
I don't have any good ideas for a rainy-day activity, though. I'm horrible at coming up with ways to keep my kids entertained when we have to be inside!

I can't pick out one song, but I must tell you that I went and picked up those mints after reading your blog the other day. They are totally yummy!!!!

As far as fun kids activities on a rainy day I always love the idea of a scavenger hunt. They are fairly easy to put together and your kids can help each other. It might be a little boring for the older kids, but little ones think it's fun! The prize at the end can be anything, but its something different to do.

I rely on my hubby for new music. He recently heard Duffy "Mercy" when he was in a store and bought the CD. I have to admit, that song is growing on me. Not sure it'll be your taste, but she's got a soulful voice.

Still hoping Sayler and my boy Jack will meet someday! She is stunning.

You are amazingly talented!

i don't think i can help with a song ... i have had a demi lovato (disney channel star) song stuck in my head for about 3 weeks now. lol! i break into the chorus about 39 times a day ... drive the family crazy!

love the photo of sayler ... your girls have the most beautiful curls ever!!! good luck with the rest of your project!

I know you have heard it before but your girls are just beautiful!!! I love so many songs so that's a hard one but Amazed by Lone Star is still one of my very favorites.

I highly suggest Newton Faulkner's Dream Catch Me is likely his most popular, but the full Hand Built by Robots album is amazing.

Ok....I just have to say your kids have the best hair ever!!!!

Rainy day activities...make playdo(you can probably google how to make it - use Kool aid for colour as it smells good too!); if you can get long rolls of paper (from Ikea or ask your local newspaper for end rolls) have the kids lie down and outline their bodies - then let the kids have fun colouring/decorating themselves!; have a baking day - banana loaf, cookies, etc.

Have fun!

hmmm...just happen to have an extra tube of lip gloss do you? How odd!!!

Lol...well, you know all my fave new songs, but I'm sure going to check out some of the one's people have listed here. I second Andria's recommendation of India Arie's Heart of the Matter. I just bought that soundtrack, and it's excellent...

Hope you're all safe tonight...

Ok, I am a "Everyday Chaos" blog regular, mainly because I have 4 children of my own and can relate to the title! I also frequent this place because of your wonderful photography which never ceases to amaze, educate, & inspire me. As far as music goes, I love all music so my opinion is somewhat mixed. I have a contemporary christian song "Lemonade" by Chris Rice that has caught on for me as a new favorite, you can find it on You Tube, and I love the quirky way he has found to describe the blessings in his life. There is a second favorite at the moment, much to my 11 year old daughters dismay. I am really digging the Jonas Brothers " Play My Music". I don't know whether it is the fact that my daughter cringes as I sing along, or if it is my 90's dance moves that the song brings out in me but either way, I love it!

Super girl is my favorite. Everytime it comes on the radio I must sing it.

It's also my ring tone for my oldest daughter when she calls my cell.

Hey Megan,

Just wanted to jump on here and say that I'm totally loving to read your twitter updates. Your writing has just the perfect touch of humor and sarcasm that I can really relate to. I'm thinking a corona sounds pretty good right about now!
