last night we attempted to beat the heat and play outside for awhile..we played, but it was sooooo hot, and the kids were drenched after about 10 minutes. I decided to try and get a few shots of Piper but she is so quick, that girl does not stop for one second! I was also trying a new focusing method, I usually use back button, but wanted to try changing my focal points, and let me tell you..it kicked my butt. So hard..especially with a wild 2 year old as my subject. Almost all of my shots were out of focus...ugggg! Even those these are a bit soft, I thought I'd share anyway. I also tried a little different look with my processing..what do you think??
In an attempt to get her to stand still for a second, I told her a story about purple and pink monkeys coming down the street..this was her response..finger pointing saying.."Monkeys not coming, they far far away!"
She took her bike for a spin, but got frustrated because she couldn't peddle properly, her solution..just pick it up and walk...

Well... they don't look soft to me!
Love that first one! She's too cute!
Wow, these are perfect! Love your gorgeous colors, and they don't look soft from my end either. Love her outfit, it looks like these should be in an ad.
that first color and first bnw are TO DIE FOR!!! love them. soft - not likely lady!!!
She's soo beautiful, and the green grass and her dress just compliment that so well in these shots. Have I told you that I love her name too? Lol. We really have the same taste in names. I love love all of these, especially the monkey one!
haha! Carrying her bike - too funny! I recently tried to switch my focus points to - with very little success - back button focus just feels more natural to me!
