It's been awhile..
since I've blogged..or picked up a camera. For some reason, I've been in a funk, really unmotivated. It seems lately that taking pictures turned into more of a "chore" than a hobby. I was wanting the "perfect" clothes, hair, set-up, ect..looking or acceptance from others rather than wanting to please myself. I had really lost sight of why I started taking pictures in the first place...which was for my kids. So tonight, as Piper was playing in the sink, I grabbed my camera and shot a few..nothing fancy, just her..no cute outfit..no "just-right" hair, no perfect background...just my girl.. just a memory..which is really..what it's all about!

i can identify with what you're saying...i sometimes have to put effort into letting go of the control & just snapping candids. those are the ones i love looking back at most (even though have to put my 'mommy glasses' on to relax & just enjoy...rather than critque them)
Ohh, I totally understand the funk. I've been feeling that lately too. But these really do look perfect to me, I love them all! Great lighting and you captured the water perfectly. Awesome job!

These are gorgeous! You definitely don't need everyting to be "perfect" because your kids are just beautiful being themselves. I hope you get out of your funk soon.
