We were fine for awhile walking around looking at bugs and such until Adler found a bottle of bubbles. He was happy just carrying them for a few minutes, but then insisted on opening them and blowing bubbles. He has no idea how to blow them, he ends up with bubble solution all in his mouth and spills the entire bottle every time. This time was no exception. He blew..he spilled..he cried! I decide to give them pops to get the bubble taste out of his mouth..popsicles in 85 degree weather melt quickly..so now Piper is covered in popsicle, Adler in popsicle and bubbles..and they are sweating. After the pops are gone, they decide to go play in the fountain, they get soaking wet and both start screaming.
I had to strip them down, plop them in the tub and let them play in there for awhile..uggg!
My "hey, let's go outside for a bit" turned into 2 hours of mess..but I have to tell you, when I was getting my boy out of the tub, he looked at me with the biggest smile.. and said.."Mama, we had fun!" So, in the end it was worth it because that's what childhood is all about....having fun!
These two are just so different. When I gave them the popsicles, Piper starts biting her right away, biting off such big chunks that she gets brain freeze. adler on the other hand, take tiny, little lips and lets most of it melt all down his arm. At one point, he looks at Piper and say, "Here Pippy, want a lick?" It was so sweet, but at the same time he was really worried that she was gooing to bite it. I just love how he has his mouth open watching her have a quick taste.

That little comment "We had fun" would definitely do me in. How sweet! I have already commented on these, but had to say that those brain freeze pics . . . they CRACK ME UP!!
